Tempest Evo Enthusiast Steel Tower (TEMPEST EVO NO POWER BLACK INTERIOR), Black Reviews
| 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Tempest Evo Enthusiast Steel Tower (TEMPEST EVO NO POWER BLACK INTERIOR), Black (Personal Computers) This is really an ATX-case. It does fits E-ATX board but the fit is really really tight. The hard-drive bays intrudes onto the e-atx board and I have to leave the hard-drive bays partially inserted and the fans on the front has to be inverted (yes, the fan has to be exposed outside) to close the front panel. If you buy this case for E-ATX board you are really asking for tons and tons of troubles. Not only the fits is tight, the cable management system is simply defunct with e-atx board. And the big whole on the base board has to be covered up for e-atx board if you try to run a cable behind the e-atx board. It was such a pain to get this case closed up and I have two front fans exposed that I need to find something to cover it up to safely use it. Also it can fit at most 3-DVD/CD drives. Again, this is not good case for EATX motherboard. It should work with ATX board I think. I gave it 2 stars due to the fact that you can indeed cram an eatx board in it. 8 of 10 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Tempest Evo Enthusiast Steel Tower (TEMPEST EVO NO POWER BLACK INTERIOR), Black (Personal Computers) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?) .*UPDATE!*.Everything is working perfectly and running much cooler then I can even believe! And the quietness is still just astonishing. The interior of the case is staying super clean too, very little dust has built up in the case so I won't have to be constantly cleaning the case out while out in the dusty shop. More then well worth the price tag, really wish they would have released this before I bought my Thermaltake case... oh well. :) *.UPDATE!.* First off this case is being used outside as a CNC computer, so keeping the computer components cool is a hugh issue, especially in an unconditioned shop. The first big difference between this case and the case I had (a Thermaltake WingRS 201) is that it runs a LOT cooler with everything in it. In my Thermaltake WingRS I had to install two other 120mm fans (both in the front) to provide some airflow to run across the components. Without the two front intake fans the CPU ran a... PC hobbyists and hardcore gamers; build yourself a Core i7 gaming monster! After almost two years, NZXT has updated their award winning NZXT TEMPEST Enthusiast Steel ATX Midtower-Retail (itself very similar to the popular Antec Nine Hundred) with great new features while keeping the price the nearly the same. It is large for a mid-size case has features usually seen only on higher end models. Steel construction, EAT-X support, 9 drive bays (8 railed for HDs), 3 slots for optical drives, 7 expansion slots, 6 (quieter) fans, black interior, enhanced cable management, pre-drilled for water cooling, blue LEDs and a smoked side panel -- this thing is a BEAST! (see my photo above comparing it to a standard mid-size case)Two USB, one E-SATA, Audio, Power and Reset buttons are mounted at the top of the case at a 45' angle for easier... Read more |
