After you tinker with this case, you will never want to buy a case without a handle again. + Visually, it is an improvement over the previous Scout. The case looks awesome-- it has a very rugged look, but it is also very curvy. + Well built-- this case is very sturdy, and seems like it can take a beating or two. + Cable Management-- I'm blown away at the amount of space that is on the right side behind the tray. + Quiet-- Very low noise comes from the Scout 2. + Nice Size- Not too big, not too small. Negatives: All of these are minor gripes: - Window is very small and is tinted, so you really can't see into your case. Hopefully CM will release an upgraded window in the future. - USB ports on the top of the case are kind of awkward. Not a huge deal, but... The internals are SImple yet functional For a Regular ATX or smaller motherboard. Has plenty of Drive bays and 3 Full size bays. This case does not waste a lot of interior space, for what you get this case is by far one of the most practical and useable cases within its price range, probably even better then some cases over 100 bucks. Best feature is the carrying arm across the top. it feels really sturdy so far and has a rubberized grip for a bit more comfort incase you have to carry it for a while. The case can get heavy after packing 2 full size GPUs and filling up the bays, but even then, having a grip is better then having to scoop it up and carry it with both hands. Like another commentator wrote this makes it easier to take both your computer and monitor in one trip(plus if you have your cords and accessories stuffed in a backpack you are good to... I checked out many cases before I decided to go with CM Storm Scout 2 and I couldn't be happier. For the price you can't beat the features. First off the case is just sexy and tough with all those curves. It supports the very lengthy graphics cards and bigger processor heatsinks. You can have up to 9 fans, but the case only comes with one. Of course if you need better cooling then it would be best to purchase those beforehand . The tough construction of this case is definitely appreciated. You just pick it up with ease and take it to a friends house for some LAN fun. One last thing before my brief review becomes longer is the cable management is top notch. I can open mine up and it looks SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN...especially with blue lighting I enhanced it with. Until next time y'all... |
