This case is easily worth $200, but the current price makes it a real no-brainer. I bought the Trooper to replace my NZXT Zero 2 case, which cost $100 last September, and for $50 dollars more, I got a case that is at LEAST 3X better than my old one.Notable features that I enjoy: * Very sturdy handle grip on top. This makes lifting the case a real breeze, even with all components installed. The handle is very nice, and the underneath side is squishy, making it very confortable. The handle is bolted to the base of the case of course, and feels extremely sturdy. * Slot-loading SSD on the front of the case. Great feature allows quick swapping of SSDs without opening the case. * Massive 200MM fan on top. Other reviews I have seen online complain this fan is too loud, I have no idea why they say that. I have all... From the initial impressions of box labeling and marketing to what follows opening the box it is nothing but a pure pleasure and the product is oozing of quality.I was going from an Antec P180 to this due to just getting a bit too cramped and issues withe airflow in the Antec case. This case is a monster, there is more than enough space in this model to include any reasonable amount of drives and accessories. Two or three videocards would not be an issue here. There is plenty of space and easy to work in given the size. The first thing I noticed was the overall quality job of fit and finish on the case. An accessory box is wired into the interior and additional parts in the bottom mounted tray. I'm not sure what kind of finish they used, whether painted and baked or powder coated. It's a quality job either way. During the course of the... To start, this case is the best and easiest installation of any other cases that I have owned/purchased thus far. I originally had an NZXT Titan prior to this case. The titan was a mid-tower and seemed to work alright for me. The differences arise with the fact that the CM Stormtrooper has excellent cable management. It IS a full-tower case so it is therefore very roomy and incredibly easy to work with. Installation of all my components was a very smooth ride from my NZXT case to the Stormtrooper. There are just too many things to love about this case. The hidden tool compartment is excellent. I was nervous about this at first considering the lid only had a mere clip, until I noticed two holes for individual screws to be placed. <---Excellent. The very intriguing thing about this case is that the HDD bays can be shifted a full 90 degrees according to your preference. Doing so IS easy but requires a bit of extra work. By default my case came with the fans rotated... Read more |
