The sleek finish, the cool blue lighting... What's not to love? It's gorgeous, and carries a sense of imposing power with absolute style and finesse. The lighting built into the side and front fans is very understated, barely more than an accent, but that may work fine for those who like a more subtle approach to their tower's lighting. Myself, I like it to stand out like an alien mothership, so I use the Logisys 12" Cold Cathode Case Lights (Blue) kit to really make this bad boy shine. The design is excellent; I really can't praise it enough. Installation of all the parts was an absolute breeze, with everything fitting exactly as it should, no tough screw holes or misaligned bits to be found. The hard drive bays are one of this case's best features: they have a clip-in design, with absolutely no screw mounting necessary... I'm using an i5 2500k overclocked to 4.5 GHz. Using the stock cooler the temps have hit 55C under full load(after running for a few hours at load). Temp drops easy back to 30C in 3-4 minutes(using Arctic Silver Thermal Paste). One warning would be that the hyper 212 master cooler heatsink and fan will not fit with the side case fan installed. You'll have to remove it. I originally had done this but my mobo failed and I returned it along with my backplate. (only cost 20bucks). Still I can't be too mad because it does very well with side fan and stock heatsink. It's also much easier to deal with cables this way. Overall I'd recommend this case to anyone except maybe those who use 2 or more big video cards and want the hyper 212 or similiar sized heatsink. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: NZXT Guardian Black SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower Case 921RB-BL (Personal Computers) Great tower, its an around great package. I'm gonna break it down in two parts, first in looks then in performance.Looks: What else can I say rather than it looks very nice, the blue LEDs in the front are very slick and the blue LED lit fan on the side of the case looks very nice as well. The temp display on the top should be a bit brighter though, at night or in a dark room it looks fine, but in daylight or far away, it can be hard to see. Only minor complaint besides the display not being bright enough on the top of the case is the side glass panel. It's a good quality build and looks very nice, however the stock picture leads you to believe that the side panel is well lit up and you can see the inside components with ease. This is not the case, The LEDs on the fan do not light up very much of the glass or the inside of the case so you would need to buy extra lights in order to light it up well in there. Other than that, very happy with the looks of this case... Read more |
