| 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Black 300R Mid-Tower Computer Case (CC-9011014-WW) (Personal Computers) Pros: For this price, it has all the features you possibly could own.1. 5.25 bays with screwless click-in feature, but could still screw in stuff manually if needed, such as fan controller and hard drive enclosure. 2. Individually removable drive bays that could be taken out from the 3.5" rack to install 3.5" drives (screwlessly) and 2.5" SSDs (with screws) easily. 3. Large cut-out for installing CPU heatsink/cooler. 4. Cable management cutouts. 5. Front USB 3.0 and HD Audio/AC'97 connectors. 6. Can install up to 7 120~140mm case fans, preinstalled with 1 120mm back exhaust and 1 140mm front intake, both 3 pin, with 4 pin compatible connector heads). 7. Re-attachable PCI expansion card back plates. 8. The front air intake zone is preinstalled with thin air filter. Cons: 1. The manual doesn't provide much info about the case. First time system builder could have troubles figuring things out. 2. Side case fan mounts don't... It has great cable routing, many hard drive bays, three optical drive bays, built-in USB 3.0... and all for the low price of 79.95. If you want a case that has everything for a budget-sized build: look no further.-Fits a hyper 212+ just as it should, has great room for larger discrete cards, has 6 fan-mount points (all of which are both 140mm and 120mm compatible) -Paired with two Gelid Wing14s in the front, this thing is extremely quiet. (Non-LED) -Aesthetics: Black interior and rear, for that "watcher on the wall" look. Rubber pads on the bottom to prevent any rattling if you have a particularly violent hard drive. Comes with all the screws you will ever need, plus a few zipties. -For those looking at the asrock extreme4 z77, this works perfectly. The board is known for having awkward SATA port location, but because the drives are mounted near the bottom it makes it easily accessible. (Also highly... But this is much larger than I was expecting, it is a few inches taller than my old case, which has one more optical drive slot than this. I can't imagine how you would want a larger case unless you were building a server with a big RAID stack inside. This is plenty tall and very deep. The construction quality of this is very good and adequate for the price. The case design is obviously evolved - Everything is where it ought to be and things click in flush. It's worth every penny you pay for it. But not worth more - The side panels are unbraced sheet metal that could warp or rattle just like any cheap steel case. Definitely not a case for transporting around. If you're going to plant it next to a desk though, this is real nice, and if you desired you could put sticky foam inside the panels to brace and deaden them a bit. One concern is the grill on the top. It is very large and... Read more |
