5.0 out of 5 stars Functional & Stylish, September 25, 2007
This review is from: Raidmax Smilodon SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case ATX612WBP Black (Personal Computers)
It is a little difficult to make a buying decision about a case by shopping online. You can't view it, you can't touch it and you can't make a real decision about its durability. I decided on this case and I'm glad that I did. This case makes it extremely easy to build and upgrade your system. Firstly both sides have a latch to allow simple opening of the case. No screws are used. The motherboard sits on one of the panels that open making it easy to access. the hard drive harness also swings out of the case to make it easy to add hard drives. All of the drives are held in place by clips rather then screws. One tip is that there is a toolbox hidden in a blue box under the hard drive harness. In there you will find screws and drive rails. Its easy to miss. Although this is a mid sized ATX case it is huge. It weighs in at a massive 33 pounds and is probably a bit bigger then you think. The case is also loaded with fans for optimal cooling and runs very quiet. I highly... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars This case is out of control, October 11, 2009
This review is from: Raidmax Smilodon SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case ATX612WBP Black (Personal Computers)
This is hands down the best case I've ever owned or seen. It is completely tool-less and BOTH doors can pivot open. Also, comes with a bunch of OK-ish fans. I can't speak to the power supply, but I would probably not recommend it as with many other power supplies that come with cases. I bought my for 30bux less at new egg without the include p/s. This has plenty of space for everything.

I have ATI 4870 as my GPU and it was a little tight. Anything longer than this card would be a problem. Cooling is more than adequate and it's not too loud. If you want it quieter, get yourself your own quieter fans to replace the ones it comes with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best case I've ever owned., May 17, 2009
This review is from: Raidmax Smilodon SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case ATX612WBP Black (Personal Computers)
If you're like me, and you like to upgrade your computer yourself every so often, then look no further for one of the most conveniently designed cases ever constructed. I've owned this case for almost two years now, and I can safely say that this is the best mid-tower ATX case I have ever owned and let me give you a few reasons why.

First, there are five slots that you could potentially use for case fans. Air flow is very important, and the designers of this case realized that. You have two 80mm side fans, one which blows air right on top of the VGA card and the other which blows hot air out of the case. There is also one 80mm fan SLOT that you could throw in an extra fan on the motherboard-side of the case which has the potential to blow air inward towards the hard drive. The other two fans are located in the rear and front of the case and are both 120mm fans.

Second, you will never use screws in this case (except for the PCI/PCI-e cards). The 5.25 and 3.5 bays... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid 1U RackMount Case - Earplugs not included, October 26, 2007
This review is from: Supermicro CSE-512L-260B Chassis (Black) (Personal Computers)
Solid, well finished Supermicro product. This of course is an industrial grade 1U Rackmount Case meant to be placed by the hundreds maybe thousands in a server room. Saving space is what this baby is all about but in exchange the main case blower and the tiny power supply fan are very loud. You do not want to have this next to you at your desk. Plan to stuff this in a spare room, close the door and forget about it.

First of all the front pannel, HD, power light, Reset and power switch use a proprietary ribbon meant to connect to a supermicro mainboard but will not plug into standard ATX main board headers. You need to order Supermicro part CBL-0068L or make your own. There will be extra header conections for the front panel like 2 for ethernet connection activity and one for overheated case environment that will not be used for standard mainboards.

make sure your ATX or Micro-Atx mainboard has the 24 pin power connection header at the front of the mainboard in... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Good value, has quirks., October 21, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Diablotek FLY ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - CPA-A95BK (Black) (Personal Computers)
Overall, this is an alright case for the price, but don't be upset when you find certain quirks about it. I ran into a few problems putting a new computer together for my living room/HTPC:

- The 3.5" internal hard drive bays (for which there are 3) seem to require a low-profile or right angle SATA cable. Fortunately I had some SATA data cables with a right-angle plug handy, and the power supply I intended to use had low-profile power plugs. Unfortunately, I ended up not using this power supply, because....

- The cut-out for the IO Panel is not perfectly square. Either that, or the IO Panel for my motherboard isn't perfectly square. Either way it was quite a hassle getting the IO Panel in place.
- Saying the case comes with a front-mounted case fan and optional rear fan is an outright lie, but not on Amazon's part...it's also listed in the cases owners manual. It's actually the complete opposite and it comes with a rear fan and you can install an... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Basic Case (for the money), January 10, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Diablotek FLY ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - CPA-A95BK (Black) (Personal Computers)
This case is all aluminum magnesium, very light weight... and very easily bent and dented. My first one had severe shipping dents and had to be replaced. Overall, the case is well designed and looks great. Cable management is average and it has features usually found only on higher priced cases. Mine cost $40 at the time of purchase and well worth the cost. I've seen it go for as high as $99 on other sites; definitely not worth it at that cost.
It comes with a rear fan but no front fan. If you want to add a front fan, be prepared to do a little bit of extra work. The drive cage will have to be removed first. Those are the only two locations for a fan provided, but are sufficient for stock systems. If you are an overclock-er and need to provide more air circulation, look elsewhere.

Case is good. Like the meshed drive bays. Closing it is a lil bit tricky, but not a big deal.
